About the Pull
The Pull for Kids Classic is Child Advocates’ largest fundraiser. We will kick off on Saturday morning with the annual Pull for Kids Classic Sporting Clays Tournament for both individual and corporate teams at the American Shooting Centers. The clay shoot will include great food, games and fun giveaways. It is sure to be a wonderful time, all while benefiting Child Advocates and ‘pulling’ for our kids.

The fun will continue with a casino-inspired evening party at Bayou City Event Center, featuring a live auction, dinner and dancing. Every moment is sure to be a win for our kids, as you help us raise critical funds for advocacy.
Your investment is needed more than ever and will support Child Advocates’ work implementing essential programs to better address the unique and complex needs of foster youth and help them heal from childhood trauma. Please join us as we raise $650,000 this year to give Child Advocates the resources to serve 1,350 children in 2026.

7:45 AM Registration Opens
Please bring your own shotgun, eye and ear protection. A limited number of shotguns are available, so please let Hayley know if you need to use one from American Shooting Centers. Shells (12 and 20 gauge) will be provided, but bringing your own is greatly appreciated. Breakfast and coffee will be provided. Warm-up games will be available for purchase.
9:00 AM Flight Time Begins
You will compete at10 stations, with 4 or 6 targets per station, for a total of 50 targets.

10:45 AM Lunch & Awards
​Lunch, beverages and giveaways will be provided. Raffle tickets and silent auction items will be available for your team to contribute to, furthering the funds raised from this event. Awards will be given to the top teams and individuals. The tournament will wrap up around 11:30 AM–noon.

6:30 PM Doors Open
Enjoy drinks and appetizers, start bidding on auction items and try your luck at the Wine & Whiskey Pull.

7:30 PM Seated Dinner​
New this year! A seated dinner will be served at 7:30 PM, followed shortly by the evening program as we honor Cinda and Jeff Lack. You’ll hear more about Child Advocates and our mission before the Sponsor a Child appeal and live auction.

9:00 PM Casino After-Party
The party continues with music, dancing and casino games! Your first casino game vouchers are on us, and additional vouchers will be available for purchase to keep the good times rolling. Prizes will be given to the top winners at the end of the evening.

We are proud to recognize Cinda and Jeff Lack as our 2026 Pull for Kids Classic Honorees. Their unwavering commitment to Houston’s most vulnerable children and their long-standing support of Child Advocates make them extraordinary partners in our mission.

Every 8 minutes, a child in Texas experiences abuse or neglect. Last year, there were over 5,900 children who were victims of abuse in Houston. Child Advocates trains everyday people to advocate for the best interests of these children in court so they can find safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible. Our advocates step in during a traumatic time in a child’s life and provide them with constancy, a shoulder to lean on, a familiar face, hope for a brighter future—and above all, a voice in the courtroom.

Since 1984, Child Advocates has recruited and trained over 6,800 advocates who have helped over 29,000 children. By supporting this fundraising event, you will ensure that more foster children in Houston will receive the support of an advocate. The gift of an advocate makes an impact that lasts for generations, allowing us to help break the cycle of abuse in a family.
